Metcalfiella monogramma

One of the stranger creatures of the Santa Lucía Reserve: Metcalfiella monogramma is a species belonging to the so-called treehoppers (Membracidae). While treehoppers are generally common this particular species was believed to only to appear in Central America ... until this one was found (and much later identified) in Santa Lucía.
