Noé has completed the first round of bird monitoring for 2021 and we had to wait for quite some time to find a new species. But in late July it finally happened. Noé registered an Ocellated Tapaculo (Acropternis orthonyx) in the upper part of the reserve. The species has been on our official bird list for a long time so it must have been found in an earlier expedition.
Since that Tapaculo species prefers higher elevations it took us a while to register it, but at the end of the day it was just a matter of time.
