Orchid Garden

We are currently experimenting with methodologies to monitor flowering in our orchid garden. The plan is to come up with something that is useful scientifically as well as touristically and that can be done by volunteers. Unsurprisingly - considering the season - in September we only found a few dozen flowers out there of eight different orchid species.

In the picture you see the most common flowers for this month' census.
