Two more for our Volunteer Hall of Fame!
Julia Kozlowska and Nicolas Kurzweil spent four weeks as volunteers in our reserve. Since Julia has a research background and Nicolas was very open for working in a scientific project they teamed up and spent most of their time walking up and down our trails in order to collect nectar of all kinds of hummingbird pollinated plants. Through their work we got data of more than 30 plant species and our data base keeps growing.
Additionally they placed cameras on various flowers in order to find out which hummingbird species come in to feed on those.
