St. Olaf College visiting Santa Lucía.

Yesterday we waved good-bye to students of St. Olaf College who visited us for four days. We were also quite happy to learn that our friend Javier Robayo was with them.

So we shared the work of introducing them to the ecology of our cloud forest between Noé, Holger and Javier.

We took the group on several tours to the sugar cane plantation, the waterfall, the main trail and the self-guided trail and were able to explore quite a bit of nature with them. Bird watching sessions, a night hike, light trap (for moths) and some lab work were also included in the mix, so that the group got a very deep inside in how nature works in the Santa Lucía reserve.

Our guests seem to have been pleased with their visit and we of course hope to welcome them soon again!
